Biography
Brant brings with him a wealth of experience in civil litigation, specializing in representing condominium and homeowner’s associations, businesses, and municipal and governmental agencies. His expertise extends to landlord/tenant matters, property disputes, and environmental law.
Adding to his legal prowess, Brant's former career as a college composition and writing professor enhanced his communication skills with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
Prior to joining our firm, Brant honed his skills at Lakeshore Legal Aid of Detroit, the City of Detroit Law Department, and various law firms in Ann Arbor and Alpena, Michigan, focusing on complex cases in property and business law.
Brant holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Michigan, a Master’s Degree in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Michigan-Flint, and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State Law School. At Wayne State Law, Brant earned prestigious scholarships, including the Judge Philip J. Glennie Law Student Scholarship in 2018 and the American Indian Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan Scholarship in 2019.
His legal journey includes internships with the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the ACLU of Michigan, along with extensive research in Federal Indian Law and Native American-related congressional legislation. Originally from Alpena, Michigan, Brant now resides in Ann Arbor with his family, where he enjoys outdoor activities and is a passionate college football fan.
